After much discussion and debate, the West Indies cricket team finally left for England. The team left Antigua after all players and maintenance staff were tested for COVID-19 infection with negative results. The Caribbean team will play a series of three test games in England next month.

On Monday, two airplanes brought players from different Caribbean islands. After all players from different islands were delivered, they were transferred to a private charter plane. The flight finally arrives in Manchester on Tuesday morning. The West Indies made a statement on the same subject.

The statement indicated that the players would be tested again on KOVID-19 after their arrival at Old Trafford in Manchester. All players and maintenance staff will remain in quarantine for a period beginning with a seven-week tour. The team will live, train and play in a biologically safe environment.

Certain restrictions have been imposed. These rules do not allow players and supervisors to enter or leave the stadiums. For example, a group of substitute players travel to the training sessions and help prepare the test team and make replacements in case of an injury.

There will be no spectators present during the races. All matches take place behind closed doors, which was accepted in the last international cricket match before the presentation of KOVID-19.

The first test takes place on the 8th day. July in Southampton. The second test takes place between 16 and 20 years of age. The last one – from the 24th to the 28th of July. July. The last two test matches will take place at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester.

The reason for choosing these two locations is that both have easy access to the hotels. In Southampton the Hilton has a stadium and Manchester a stadium nearby. It has proved relatively easy for England and Wales to transform a Cricket Board (ECB) into a biologically safe environment. The first tour was scheduled for May and June, but was postponed due to coronavirus-related restrictions.

It’s a big step forward in cricket and the sport in general when we go to England for the series, said West Indies captain Jason Holder. A lot has been invested in the preparation of a new phase of the game, he added.
